Description
The history of forgery in art is as old
as art itself. The high value of a piece
of art is based on its originality and
uniqueness. Experts estimate that currently one out of 300 artworks is an unidentified forgery.
100 Masterpieces shows unique reproductions by the best painters of the
world of the 100 most expensive paintings in art history composed to establish a unique exhibition never seen before. There is the Dance in Moulin de
la Galette (Pierre Auguste Renoir), Mona Lisa (Leonardo da Vinci), Garden
of Lust (Hieronymus Bosch) and Birth
of the Venus (Sandro Boticelli) united
in one huge art gallery. Every artwork
tells its own story, from being created
to travels, changing ownership, theft,
importance in art history and attempts
for destruction.
