Arrivo a Domaso, antico paese di pescatori situato in una incantevole posizione ad anfiteatro, è
approdo certo per gli appassionati di sport d’acqua, windsurf, trekking, alpinismo oltre ovviamente alla
pesca. Da visitare la parrocchiale di San Bartolomeo che conserva al suo interno importanti affreschi
e dipinti tra cui una prestigiosa tela di Giulio Cesare Procaccini, Madonna col Bambino e Ss. Pietro
e Paolo (1600 ca), inoltre vi si trova la tomba del Governatore del Forte di Fuentes. Si prosegue poi
per Gera Lario, anch’essa meta preferita dagli amanti degli sport lacuali, è consigliata la visita alla
parrocchiale di S. Vincenzo, di origine romanica (XIII sec.), all’interno della quale resti romani e
paleocristiani coesistono con la ricca decorazione pittorica cinquecentesca collocando la chiesa tra le
più significative dell’Alto Lario. Si raggiungerà il piccolo abitato di Trezzone, il quale ha mantenuto
l’antico assetto abitativo caratterizzato da case in pietra, alte scale e sottopassaggi. Breve visita alla
parrocchiale di S. Maria delle Grazie, probabilmente d’origine medioevale, conserva due tele con la
natività di Maria e l’Annunciazione attribuite al Caracciolo da Vercana. Successivamente percorrendo
una mulattiera immersa completamente nella natura si raggiungerà Vercana, sulle prime pendici del
Pizzo Sasso Canale con superbi panorami sul lago, sul Pian di Spagna, sulla Valtellina e sul Legnone.
Visita della parrocchiale di S. Salvatore eretta nel 1464, ma completamente rinnovata tra il Sei e
il Settecento, si presenta come uno degli esempi più ricchi di decorazione barocca in area lariana.
L’escursione prosegue fino a raggiungere Montemezzo. Visita della parrocchiale dedicata a S. Martino
situata in una splendida posizione panoramica. La chiesa conserva l’affresco della Crocifissione, uno
dei maggiori episodi figurativi della zona collegabile a Bernardino Luini in Santa Maria degli Angeli a
Lugano e a Fermo Stella nella chiesa di S. Lorenzo a Teglio. Ridiscendendo ancora verso Gera Lario è
possibile, percorrendo un’antica mulattiera, arrivare al santuario di S. Miro.

Ankunft in Domaso, altes Fischerdorf, das sich wie
ein Amphitheater auf eine zauberhafte Landschaft
öffnet. Natürlich gilt es als ein Landungsplatz für
wen die Wassersporte, das Windsurfen, das Trekking
und den Alpinismus außer der Fischerei liebt.
Sehenswürdig ist die Kirche San Bartolomeo, wo man
wertvolle Fresken und Gemälde wie die berühmte
Leinwand von Giulio Cesare Procaccini mit dem Titel
„Madonna col Bambino e Ss. Pietro e Paolo“ (um
1600) bewundern kann. Darüber hinaus beherbergt
die Kirche das Grab des Statthalters des „Forte di
Fuentes“. Man erreicht ein weiteres beliebtes Ziel, für
wen die ober erwähnten Sporte treibt. Empfelhenswert
ist die Kirche San Vincenzo, Beispiel der romanischen
Kunst (aus der 13. Jahrhundert), wo römische bzw.
frühchristliche Spuren sowie die Vielfalt an Gemälder
aus dem 16. Jahrhundert bestehen nebeneinander.
Somit gilt diese Kirche als eine der bedeutendsten
des Alto Lario. Das nächste Dörfchen, Trezzone,
hat das alte architektonische Aussehen behalten:
Es kennzeichnet sich durch Steinhäuser, hohe
Freitreppen und Unterführungen. Man bietet dann
eine kurze Besichtgung der Kirche Santa Maria delle
Grazie an, die wahrscheinlich auf das Mittelalter
zurückgeht, und wo zwei zu Caracciolo da Vercana
zugeschriebene Leinwände der Mariä Geburt und der
Verkündigung zu sehen sind. Nachdem man einen
in der Natur versunkenen Saumpfad zurückgelegt
hat, erreicht man Vercana, wo die erste Hänge vom
Pizzo Sasso Canale mit ihren prächtigen Ausblicke
auf den See, auf die Ebene „Pian di Spagna“, auf
die Valtellina und auf den Berg
Legnone erscheinen. Sehenswert
ist eine Besichtigung der Kirche
San Salvatore, die 1464 erbaut
wurde. Während des 17. und
des 18. Jahrhundert wurde sie
völlig renoviert, und derzeit gilt
sie als eines der reichsten Beispiele
der Barockkunst des Gebietes um
den Lario. Die Route führt zu
Montemezzo. Hier kann man
die Gelegenheit ergreifen, die zum
Heiligen San Martino geweihten
Kirche zu besichtigen. Außer
einem wunderschönen Ausblick
bietet die Kirche die Möglichkeit
an, einen der wichtigsten
Kunstwerke dieser Zone zu
bewundern: Ein Fresko, wo die
Kreuzigung dargestellt ist, und
das dem Fresko von Bernardino
Luini in der Kirche Santa Maria
degli Angeli in Lugano und dem
von Fermo Stella in der Kirche
San Lorenzo in Teglio ähnlich
aussieht. Auf dem Weg zurück in
Richtung Gera Lario, kann man
durch den alten Saumpfad die
Wallfahrtskirche San Miro
erreichen.

You continue to Gera Lario, another

where we suggest to visit the church

en forme d’amphithéâtre, qui attire les
passionnés de sports nautiques, windsurf,
trekking, alpinisme et évidemment, de
pêche. On conseille de visiter l’église
paroissiale de San Bartolomeo qui garde
à son intérieur d’importantes fresques
et peintures, parmi lesquelles une toile
prestigieuse de Giulio Cesare Procaccini,
“Madonna col Bambino” et “Ss. Pietro e
Paolo” (1600 environ); ici se trouve, en
outre, le tombeau du Gouverneur du Fort
de Fuentes.
On poursuit vers Gera Lario, une autre
destination préférée par les aimants des
sports sur le lac; on conseille la visite
à l’église paroissiale de S. Vincenzo,
d’origine romaine (XIIIe siècle), à
l’intérieur de laquelle des ruines romaines
et paléochrétiens coexistent avec la riche
décoration picturale du XVIe siècle,
rendant l’église une des plus significatives
de l’Alto Lario. On arrive ensuite à la petite
agglomération de Trezzone, qui a gardé
son ancienne structure des habitations,
caractérisée de maisons en pierre, hautes
escaliers et passages souterrains.
Courte visite à l’église paroissiale de S.
Maria delle Grazie, qui a probablement
une origine médiévale et garde deux toiles
de la nativité de Marie et l’Annonciation
attribuées à Caracciolo da Vercana. On
parcourt ensuite un chemin muletier
complètement plongé dans la nature, et on
arrive à Vercana, sur les premières pentes du
Pizzo Sasso Canale qui offre des panoramas
fantastiques du lac, du Pian di Spagna, de
la Valteline et du Legnone. On visite l’église
paroissiale de S. Salvatore, construite en
1464, mais complètement renouvelée entre
le XVIIe et le XVIIIe siècle; aujourd’hui elle
représente l’un des exemples les plus riches
en matière de décorations baroques dans la
zone du Lario.
L’excursion continue jusqu’à Montemezzo.
On visite l’église paroissiale dédiée à
S. Martin, située dans une position
panoramique excellente. L’église garde la
fresque de la Crucifixion, une des plus
grandes œuvres de la zone associables à

Questa escursione permette di immergersi nella natura splendida e incontaminata che si trova tra i Monti
di Vercana e l’Alpe Graglio, inoltre permette di affacciarsi in uno dei balconi più belli del lago.
Oltre alla splendida vista, questo itinerario ci consente di incamminarci in facile sentiero tra prati, pascoli
e boschi di faggio.
L’itinerario inizia da Vercana per proseguire verso Caino e sempre ascendendo si giunge alla Bocchetta di
Graglio per concludersi all’Alpe Graglio.

Dieser Ausflug erlaubt in der
wunderschönen und unberührten Natur
zwischen den Monti di Vercana und dem
Alpe Graglio einzutauchen, sowie auf
einen der schönsten Balkone der Welt
zu treten.
Außer einem herrlichen Ausblick liefert
dieser Ausflug die Gelegenheit einen
leichten Weg unter Wiesen, Weiden und
Buchenwälder zu begehen.
Die Route beginnt vom Vercana und
führt zu Caino. Wenn man weiter
bergan geht, erreicht man die Scharte
“Bocchetta di Graglio” und endlich den
Berg “Alpe Graglio”.

of Vercana and the Alpe Graglio, and to
overlook one of the most beautiful views
of the lake.

Questo itinerario ha come obiettivo raggiungere la sommità del Sasso Canale.
Si svolge attraverso stradine sterrate, boschi e incantevoli paesaggi naturalistici; incamminandosi per
sentieri che talvolta non sono sempre di facile percorribilità, soprattutto la parte finale che richiede
particolare attenzione.
L‘escursione prende avvio da Gera Lario, prosegue verso Montemezzo passando per la frazione di Bugiallo,
ascendendo quindi verso l’Alpe di Mezzo per concludersi sulla vetta del Sasso Canale (2411 m).

Das Endziel dieser Route ist der Gipfel
des Berges Sasso Canale.
Man begeht unasphaltierte enge
Gassen, Wälder und zauberhafte
Naturlandschaften, durch Pfade, die
nicht immer leicht zu befahren sind.
Besonders im letzten Abschnitt muss
man aufpassen.
Die Wanderung beginnt in Gera Lario
und führt zu Montemezzo, durch seinem
Ortsteil Bugiallo, und sie steigt an nach
dem Berg Alpe di Mezzo bis zu der Spitze
des Berges Sasso Canale (2411 m).
The aim of this itinerary is to reach the
top of the Sasso Canale.
You walk on dirt paths, woods and
enchanting

to walk on, especially on the final tract,
which requires a particular attention.
The excursion starts at Gera Lario,

On passe à travers des chemins de terre,
bois et paysages charmants; on parcourt
des sentiers pas toujours faciles, surtout
la partie finale qui nécessite d’une
attention particulière.

poursuit vers Montemezzo passant par
le hameau de Bugiallo, et montant
vers l’Alpe de Mezzo, terminant sur le
sommet du Sasso Canale (2411 m).
