Dear GOD, Father, please fulfill his wish
to enable him to eternally compose music for You,
“Heaven’s Father-Mother, GOD Creator of Cosmic Music.”
And please be with us – protect and guide us – as we,
in his mandate and following his example,
help to protect the music and to let his wonderful music
continue to sound for all human beings.
Dear family, dear friends, let us pray:
Dear GOD, Father,
a week ago
you called your beloved child and servant,
our beloved friend, teacher, father and grandfather
Karlheinz Stockhausen
home.
He followed your call with joy.
We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ,
who taught us to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory
for ever and ever.
For throughout his whole life, he loved You, he praised You,
he venerated You, he thanked You,
especially through his music.
He said himself that his performances are public prayer
“to bring celestial music to humans
and human music to the celestial beings,
so that Man may listen to GOD and GOD may hear His children.”
His vision of a family of man
which lives together in peace, love and justice
is expressed in a purely musical language in many of his works,
so that all human beings can understand it.
In his work SCENTS – SIGNS it is sung:
“Dream with me in Heaven of the beautiful people on Earth…”

Am 31. Dezember 1997 hatte Stockhausen bereits einen Entwurf für sein
Grab gezeichnet. Auf einem Kreis (siehe Rückseite), soll die LICHT-Formel
(letzte Superformel vom MITTWOCH, transponiert in die Originaltonhöhen
der Superformel) mit dem letzten gesungenen Text aus MICHAELION vom
MITTWOCH aus LICHT abgebildet werden. Es folgt hier der vollständige
Text vom Schluß-Sextett. Die Gedenkstätte ist in Vorbereitung.

On December 31st 1997, Stockhausen designed his grave. The LIGHTFormula (the final super formula of WEDNESDAY transposed to the original
pitches of the super formula) was to be shown on a circle with the last sung
text in MICHAELION of WEDNESDAY from LIGHT. The complete text of
the final sextet follows. The memorial is now in preparation.

herum und schließlich in allen Räumen weiterschwingend gesungen wird:
