Proyecto de ayuda para gatos callejeros
Dieses Projekt befindet sich in der Vorbereitung und ist für
freilebende, verwilderte Hauskatzen konzipiert. Wir suchen
hierfür Sponsoren und freiwillige Helfer um uns finanziell und
organisatorisch bei diesem Projekt zu unterstützen.
This project is in the stage of preparation and is designed for
stray, feral cats. We are looking for Sponsors and volunteers
to give us financial and organizational support for this project.

apoyo económico y organisatiorio de nuestro
proyecto. Gatos callejeros o salvajes se denominan aquellos
pobres gatos que han sido abandonados por sus dueños y van
teniendo sus crias por las calles de los pueblos donde residen.
Una consecuencia de la crisis econónimca que estamos sufriendo ahora es que siempre mas residentes de la Costa Blanca vuelven a sus paises de origen. Por las parcialmente muy
rigidas normas de cuarentena en dichos países (por ejemplo
Gran Bretaña)
muchos abandonan sus viviendas y sus animales a merced de
su suerte. Mayoritariamente se abandondan los gatos, en
algunos casos también perros. Gatos callejeros son gatos de
casa descuidados que no se deben confundir con los gatos
silvestres de verdad (Felis sylvestris).
Als Straßen- oder Streunerkatzen werden ehemalige
Hauskatzen und ihre Nachkommen bezeichnet, die herrenlos
und auf sich allein gestellt leben. Als Folge der Wirtschafts krise kehren immer mehr Residenten der Costa Blanca den
Rücken und wegen der teilweise strengen Quarantänebestimmungen für Haustiere in ihren Heimatländern (beispielsweise
Großbritannien) werden die Tiere nicht selten einfach ausgesetzt. Das Problem betrifft zum größten Teil Katzen, etwas
seltener Hunde. Straßenkatzen sind verwilderte Hauskatzen
und nicht zu verwechseln mit den echten Wildkatzen (Felis sylvestris).
Unkastrierte Straßenkatzen vermehren sich unkontrolliert.
Trotz der harten Lebensbedingungen auf der Straße, immer
bedroht durch Krankheit, Hunger und Straßenverkehr, überleben viele Jungtiere, so dass die Populationen ständig wachsen.
Stray, feral cats are former house cats that have been
abandoned and their descendants. They have to survive without any help. As a result of the economic crisis ever more residents of the Costa Blanca and elsewhere return to their home
countries. Partly because of strict quarantine regulations
for pets in their home countries (e.g. United Kingdom), the
animals often are abandoned and left behind homeless. The
problem relates mainly to cats, less often to dogs. Street cats
are feral cats and not to be confused with the real wild cats
(Felis sylvestris).
Unneutered alley cats multiply uncontrollably. Despite
the tough living conditions on the road, always threatened by
disease, hunger and traffic, many kittens survive so that the
population is ever growing. Focus of the “SOS Campaign Kitty”
is the castration and medical care for street cats. In
wellorganized feeding sites with home-made sleeping
cottages, the animals are fed by voluntary animal lovers and
monitored so that new stray cats may be neutered by “SOS
Campaign Kitty”, sick animals treated and babies can be captured for mediation. By way of intensive public education and
information campaigns “SOS Campaign Kitty” creates understanding of the street cats and promotes the willingness of
people to help these animals and report new, unneutered cats.
“SOS Campaign Kitty” advises:
Schwerpunkt der SOS-Aktion Kitty ist die Kastration und
medizinische Betreuung der Straßenkatzen. An gut organisierten Futterstellen mit selbstgebauten Schlafhäuschen
werden die Tiere von ehrenamtlichen Tierfreunden gefüttert
und überwacht, so dass Neuzugänge durch SOS-Aktion Kitty
kastriert, kranke Tiere
behandelt und Babys zur Vermittlung eingefangen werden
können.
Durch intensive Aufklärungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit schafft SOS-Aktion Kitty Verständnis für die Straßenkatzen und
fördert die Bereitschaft in der Bevölkerung, diesen Tieren zu
helfen oder neue, unkastrierte Bestände zu melden.

Wenn Sie Katzenbesitzer sind und Ihre Katze Freigang hat,
lassen Sie bitte Ihre Katze kastrieren. Es
empfiehlt sich außerdem, die Tiere mittels Chip oder Tattoo
zu kennzeichnen und registrieren zu lassen. So können entlaufene Katzen jederzeit identifiziert und
ihren Besitzern zugeordnet werden.
If you are a cat owner and your cat is allowed to walk freely,
please neuter your cat. It is also highly recommended that
animals are chipped and registered. Therefore lost cats may
be easily identified and the owners notified.
Gatos callejeros que no estan esterilizados se reproducen sin
control. Aun teniendo condiciones de vida duras en la calle
debido a las amenazas por hambre, enfermedad y el tráfico,
sobreviven muchos gatitos y la población aumenta
constantemente. El punto principal de la SOS-Acción Kitty es
la castracción y la asistencia veterinaria de los gatos callejeros. En puntos de alimentación bien organizados los gatos
serán alimentados por voluntarios que a su vez controlan la
población. Asi con SOS-Acción Kitty se pueden castrar los
nuevos, curar los enfermos y coger los gatitos para su
adopción. SOS-Acción Kitty quiere potenciar la comprensión y
la disposición de la gente en el apoyo de esos pobres
animales a traves de trabajo educativo y relaciones públicas
intensas.
SOS-Acción Kitty aconseja a los dueños de gatos que tienen
acceso al exterior castrar a sus animalitos por su propia
seguridad y bienestar. Además se aconseja identificar el
animal con un chip o un tatuaje registrado. De esa manera un
gato perdido puede ser identificado y volver con su dueño.
