SAMPA GALLERIES
Sao Paulo’s historic centre is the place to
find amazing galleries, most of them built in
the 60’s. Their entrances are mainly located
on the pedestrian streets and they are used
as passages, connecting different streets
trough the middle of the blocks. Opened to
the city and access free, they are used as
public spaces. Some say these galleries are
the origin of the shopping malls
From restaurants, bars and cafés to offices,
photography, electronics and games stores it is
possible to find anything you want in these tunnels of
time. You can go finding one of these things or just
let you lose yourself.
