February 21, 2014 – Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce the University of Cincinnati has selected the firm to manage the $86 million renovation and expansion of Nippert Stadium’s West Pavilion, scheduled for completion in August of 2015. Describing the improved fan experience, and the benefit to the University that comes with a stadium renovation like this one, Bob Grace, the Turner project executive on the job said, “This is one of the oldest division-one football stadiums in the country and until now they haven’t had premium seating. In addition to providing enhanced fan comfort, those seats will provide an additional source of revenue for the University.” And, for Grace and his team, the University is more than just a client. He continued, “Every member of the Turner team here, including me, is a University of Cincinnati graduate. Everyone’s a Bearcat.” Following the renovation, Bearcat fans will enjoy enhanced field lighting, added club areas, patio boxes, and private suites for a total of 3,000 added seats, enlarged and upgraded restroom and concession facilities on all five levels, updated media and broadcasting areas, a new press box and new elevators.
