Sealant and Foam producer Soudal announces new record year!
Annual report 2014:
consolidated turnover growth of 75 mi. € to 565 mi. € with 2.195 co-workers worldwide.
Belgian sealants and PU foams producer Soudal reports for 2014 a new all-time record of its turnover with a
consolidated growth of 15.4%. Net results reached 21,7 mi. €. Soudal thus converts its tradition of growth well
above the industry average .
Soudal counts 44 sales offices and 13 production sites worldwide. The company remains firmly anchored in
Turnout where Soudal group employs more than 800 employees.
A year full of acquisitions
Soudal's vigorous growth strategy continued apace in 2014, on the one hand through a strong organic growth of
more than 10% and, on the other, through a number of ambitious acquisitions. In the first quarter of 2014, a
majority share was acquired in Soudis, the exclusive importer for Soudal in Australia. In June, Soudal announced
the takeover of Accumetric in the US state of Kentucky, with branches in Thailand and India. Then, in October, the
acquisition of Polish adhesives manufacturer Bochem was announced. Finally, just before the end of 2014, Soudal
acquired full control of its joint-venture in Chile, Peru, Mexico and Colombia.
The four acquisitions are a further step in the realisation of Soudal's strategy of having a presence on all
continents through its own subsidiaries and local production facilities.
Lotto Soudal
On 27 July 2014, the last day of the Tour de France, we announced that from 1st January 2015 until 2020, Soudal
would be the main sponsor at the highest level of international cycling. In combination with its sponsorship of
Belgian league football team KVC Westerlo and the Soudal Classics cyclo-cross races, the sponsorship of Lotto
Soudal is designed to support Soudal's strategy of building its brand internationally.
