Economic structure
The mid-sized central community of Fuerstenfeldbruck an der Amper
(on the Amper River) with its 35,000 inhabitants is a powerful and
future oriented economic site in the region to the west of Munich.
Due to its connection to the Munich suburban railway network
Fuerstenfeldbruck has at its disposal a great potential of qualified
manpower and offers a healthy economic structure that is
characterized by a well balanced mixture of various branches. There are many small and middle sized
businesses with refined technological capabilities and a great diversity of different trades. Several global
players as well, such as e.g. National Semiconductor (electronic components), Schleifring & Apparatebau
GmbH, the firm Guentner AG & Co. KG (heat transfer technology), Coca-Cola Soft Drinks AG, DNS
Deutschland GmbH, Winthrop Arzneimittel GmbH (medicines), Leuze lumiflex GmbH & Co. KG, the royal
Brewery Kaltenberg and the firm ESG Electronics and Logistic Systems GmbH hold the upper Bavarian site in
high regard. The service sector is responsible for the largest portion of the overall employment.
Moreover, Fuerstenfeldbruck has well developed commercial zones. The city and the Sparkasse cooperate in
handling the marketing of the industrial zone Hasenheide Nord, in which adequate real estate for both
large-scale and small-scale industrial start-ups is available.
Good transportation connections

the face of competition. The site of Fuerstenfeldbruck is located between the economic centers of Munich and
Augsburg and it has good connections to the regional transportation networks as well as to the airport in

The freeways A 8 (Munich-Stuttgart), A 96 (Munich-Lindau) and A 99 (freeway ring Munich) as well as the
federal highways B 2 and B 471 form a dense feeder network that is optimized by railway traffic.
Two suburban train stations connect Fuerstenfeldbruck to the public commuter system of the metropolitan
area Munich and include direct connection to the Munich airport. A well developed bus network in the entire
district and connection via the freight train network of the German Federal Railway System complete the
excellent transportation infrastructure.

downtown area and in Buchenau. The new Center Buchenau - right next to the suburban train station - was
recently built in Buchenau.

opportunities. Attractive residential areas and manifold shopping possibilities contribute considerably to the

A new 4-star hotel was opened in the year 2008 in the immediate vicinity of the Event Forum Fuerstenfeld.
This makes it possible for the continually growing number of seminar visitors in Fuerstenfeld to stay overnight
very close to the event location and in upscale surroundings.
