Wave goodbye to boring lighting.
LED
SINUS takes its inspiration from sinusoidal wave forms and its smooth undulations
result in an elegant sculptural fitting, perfect for areas requiring a feature piece that
doesn’t compromise on performance or efficiency.
The five flowing profiles rise and fall side-by-side and combine three downlight and two uplight
runs, creating the wave-like structure. Each of the five profiles act as a heatsink for the 120
LEDs, which are mounted along the runs. SINUS has a combined output of 6500lm and is
suspended by Spectral’s trademark cabling which doubles up as the power supply.

Timeless pendant rings beautifully built in Germany.
Using an innovative, profiled aluminium extrusion, the flexibility of LED technology
has allowed Spectral to create a classic and timeless aesthetic pendant. The extruded
aluminium body acts as a thermal control to the LED's keeping the temperature
constant and the output to an optimum. Multiple permutations available and custom
colours upon request.
The Stora LK pendant features continuous
direct lighting. Performance and detail are
inherent. For example, the drop suspension
wires cleverly integrate the power cabling so
there is no snaking cable dropping from the
ceiling, further enhancing the clean lines.

Clean low profile technical lighting for enhanced
workspace lighting.
Rectangular luminaire for pendant mounting, constructed using an innovative extruded
aluminium profile that does not have a joint at the corners. Incorporating the latest
convex structure micro prism diffusing panel, a homogenous glare free light distribution
is achieved and compliance to EN 12464. Clear acrylic covered slots in the rear of the
body provide a degree of indirect lighting on the ceiling.
The Stora P features the latest LED chips from
Samsung and the PCB is manufactured in
house at Spectrals factory in Germany.
The integral Dali dimmable power supply
ensures the fitting is very simple to install.

A bi-directional imaginative luminaire utilising the full flexibility of LED technology.
The inner ring of light provides an element of intensity while the outer ring spreads a
uniform amount of ambient light. The extruded aluminium body acts as a thermal
control to the LED's keeping the temperature constant and the output to an optimum.
Multiple permutations available and custom colours upon request.
The Turus fitting is delivered to site complete so no assembly works are required by
the contractor. In addition the drop suspension wires cleverly integrate the power
cabling so there is no snaking cable dropping from the ceiling, further enhancing the
clean lines.

übernommen und vertreibt und entwickelt diese designorientierten
Leuchten nun als eigene Produktlinie europaweit.
RIDI ist einer der bedeutenden Hersteller technischer Leuchten mit
europaweiten Niederlassungen und Vertretungen. Ein Produktspektrum an bewährten Leuchtenmodellen, stetige Entwicklung
neuer Leuchten und kundenorientierte Konzeption von Sondermodellen zeichnet RIDI als Qualitätshersteller aus. RIDI verwirklicht
Lichtplanungen von einfachen Lichtlösungen bis hin zu komplexen
Lichtsteuerungsanlagen.
Der Fertigungsstandort Jungingen umfasst eine Produktionsfläche
von ca. 35.000 m2 und ist gleichzeitig auch Sitz der Firmenzentrale.
Fertigungsschwerpunkte am Standort Jungingen sind Rasterleuchten,
Lichtsysteme, Architekturbeleuchtung und Sonderleuchten.
RIDI Leuchten GmbH acquired the Spectral brand in the Summer of
2010, and now sells and develops this design-oriented luminaire
range as one of its own product lines throughout Europe.
RIDI is one of today’s most significant manufacturers of technical
luminaires with branches and representations across the whole of
Europe. A product range encompassing a wide selection of proven
luminaire models, the on-going development of new luminaire
designs and bespoke production of non-standard models all testify
to RIDI’s credentials as a quality manufacturer. RIDI excels in the
field of light planning, from the simple lighting solution through to
highly complex lighting control systems.
The production facility in Jungingen encompasses a production
area of around 35,000 square metres, and is also home to the
company’s administrative headquarters. The Jungingen location
concentrates on louvred luminaires, lighting systems, architectural
lighting and non-standard luminaires.

Daneben werden noch viele Leuchtenkomponenten für die Werke in Zeuthen
und Rellingen gefertigt.
Auf 15.000 m2 werden im Fertigungscenter
in Zeuthen Downlights, Wannenleuchten,
Pendelleuchten und Lichtleisten hergestellt.
In Rellingen werden auf 2.800 m2 ausschließlich Teile für das RIDI LINIA Lichtbandsystem
gefertigt.
Aufgrund der hohen Stückzahlen bei diesen
Produkten ist die Fertigung weitgehend
automatisiert.
It also produces a large number of luminaire
components to supply the factories in Zeuthen
and Rellingen.
Over a production area of 15,000 square
metres, the Zeuthen factory manufactures
downlighters, diffuser luminaires, pendant
luminaires and continuous lighting systems.
The Rellingen site covers an area of 2,800
square metres, and concentrates exclusively
on parts for the RIDI LINIA continuous
lighting system. The high volumes required
for this product series means that production
is largely automated.

heute ist Jep. Ein eleganter Rahmen fasst
das schwebende Licht und entfaltet eine
sanfte Dynamik.
Round, flat, rectangular: all definitely yesterday’s news. Today is all about Jep. Encased in
an elegant frame, Jep creates its own uniquely
dynamic yet subtle lighting ambience.
Gleich einem vom Wind empor gehaltenen Blatt
schwebt Jep im Raum.
Die Größe der Leuchtdiode und die freie Wahl
ihrer Verortung schafft die Grundlage für eine
neue geometrische Leuchtenform. Erstmals ist es
möglich, der Leuchte durch eine leichte Wölbung
eine Schwerelosigkeit und Feinheit zu geben, die
mit konventionellem Leuchtmittel undenkbar war.
Like a leaf held aloft on an autumn breeze, Jep
appears to float above the room. The size of the LED
and the free scope for positioning provide the basis
for a whole new style of geometric luminaire. The
use of LED has opened up the design freedom to
create seductive curves, lending the luminaire an
apparent weightlessness and finesse which was
beyond the capability of conventional light sources.

Licht. Die technische Basis für das stimmige
Konzept liefern die raffinierte Entblendungstechnik, hocheffiziente Leuchtdioden und ein für
Leuchten ungewöhnliches Fertigungsverfahren

recyclebarem Kunststoff. Eine normgerechte
Leuchte, die den Anspruch an Nachhaltigkeit

Seeming to hover in the air, this unique luminaire is
encased in a characteristic and elegant surround.
Providing the technical basis for this effective design
concept are sophisticated anti-dazzle technology,
highly efficient LEDs and an integral foamed housing
created using an unusual manufacturing technique
in recycled plastic. Compliant with all the applicable
standards, this luminaire fulfils modern expectations
of sustainability and makes full use of the enormous
creative scope offered by LED technology.
Die feinsinnige Andersartigkeit der Jep Produktfamilie erschließt sich vor allem im architektonischen Kontext. Ohne sich unangenehm
in den Vordergrund zu rücken setzt sie den
entscheidenen gestalterischen Akzent.
Die Möglichkeit der wahlweisen Bestückung,
mit LED oder Leuchtstofflampe, geben dem
Anwender besondere Möglichkeiten, auf lichtplanerische Aufgaben zu reagieren. Gerade in
Treppenhäusern bietet sich die Ausrüstung mit
LED aufgrund ihrer Langlebigkeit, Effizienz und

The Jep product family develops its truly unique
design potential best in a sophisticated architectural
context. Instead of jostling for attention, its

surroundings. The optional scope for fitting with
either LEDs or fluorescent lamps offers light
planners outstanding design freedom to respond

Form follows Energy

Form defined by energy, or put another
way: Light where it is needed.
Wie zu Glas gewordene Tautropfen, in denen sich
das Licht spiegelt, liegen die Optiken in der
glänzend schwarzen Acrylglasscheibe. Der matte
Leuchtenkopf kontrastiert wunderbar mit dem
Glanz der Abdeckplatte. Dort wo konventionelle
Leuchten ihre Leuchtfläche benötigen, nimmt das
Design der Soel konsequent die Lichteigenschaft
des Leuchtmittels auf und gibt nichts vor:

The light reflecting optics hang suspended like
dewdrops transformed into glass, held aloft
by a high-gloss black acrylic panel. The matt
luminaire head creates a breathtaking contrast
with the shiny surface of the cover plate.

A luminaire with attitude, the Soel is both
provokingly simple and at the same time
revolutionary. The concept: to waste nothing
in terms of light. The objective: to guide the
light where it is needed. The result: Soel,
a floor-standing luminaire which sets whole
new standards.
High-precision optics used alongside highefficiency LEDs allow a single office workstation
to be lit not just in full compliance with industry
standards but with extreme evenness and
brilliance – using just 30 Watts of electrical
power. An optionally connectable TC-L
fluorescent lamp provides an indirect light
source for perfect room modulation and a

Plafou
Scheinbar schwerelos integriert sich die
Plafou in jedes Ambiente.
Das Gehäuse scheint von innen heraus
zu strahlen – es umhüllt den technischen
Kern. Was bleibt, ist der pure Eindruck
von Licht.
Die Plafou steht am Ende einer Entwicklungskette, in der Form, Lichtfunktion und Zurückhaltung optimal aufeinander abgestimmt wurden.
Den Schritt, den die Plafou darüber hinaus wagt:
Sie lässt die materielle Ummantelung des Lichts
scheinbar verschwinden. Eine nutzerfreundliche
Leuchte fängt an, von der Magie des Lichts zu
erzählen. Scheinbar schwerelos schwebt sie im
Raum und wird zum Lichtobjekt. Durch ihre
Leuchtdichtebegrenzung auf unter 1000 cd/qm
bietet Plafou neben guter Planungssicherheit
auch angenehmen Sehkomfort. Darüber hinaus
steht diese Flachleuchte mit einem hohen

Mit der Wahl des Leuchtmittels ist die Plafou
sehr einfach wandelbar. Eine kühle Sachlichkeit
entsteht bei der Verwendung von Leuchtmitteln
mit kühlen Lichtfarben.
Die eingesetzten Materialien werden in dieser
Lichtfarbe besonders brillant wiedergegeben.
Beim Einsatz von warmtonigen Leuchtmitteln
weicht die Sachlichkeit einem eher emotionalen
Erscheinungsbild. Die Konturen der Plafou
werden weicher, das Leuchtengehäuse erstrahlt
in einem milden tiefen Glanz.

Enclosing the internal technical components, the housing itself seems to radiate
from the inside outwards to create an
impression of pure, unadulterated light.
The Plafou represents the end of a chain of
development which has evolved to create the
perfect symbiosis of form, lighting function and
subtle charm. What sets this luminaire decisively
apart is its ability to make its physical self seem
to disappear, leaving only the impression of light
which is both enchanting and at the same time
wholly practical. Apparently weightless, Plafou
appears to hover over the room like a sculpture
in light. With luminance restricted to below
1000 cd / sq.m., Plafou offers not only optimum
lighting design security but also a high level of
visual comfort, while its high light output ratio
makes for outstanding economy. A precisely
engineered microprism surface and low-glare protection to restrict reflection on VDU screens make

Plafou is an expert in the art of transformation
too. Simply opting for a different light source can
completely change the ambience of any room.
Using lamps with colder light colours creates a
world of matter-of-fact cool sophistication – an
effect which sets the luminaire materials off to

Using warmer-toned lamps subtly shifts the
ambience to create a more emotional resonance,
softening the contours of the Plafou and
bathing the luminaire housing in a deep and
appealing glow.

Ihre eindeutige Formgebung und die
farbige Wandelbarkeit machen die Iris zu

Clear, no-nonsense styling, contrasting
dialogue between the transparent and
the opaque, and limitless scope for transformation through colour make the Iris
a lighting object of endless fascination.
Die Iris zeichnet aus, dass sie in jeder Bauform,
ob Wand-, Decken- oder Pendelvariante, ihre
schimmernde, geheimnisvolle Eleganz behält.
Die Transparenz des hochwertigen Kunststoffs
spielt mit der Frage nach dem Dahinter und steht
in keinerlei Konkurrenz zur klassischen Form des
Rings. Dies ist konsequent weitergedacht, so
definieren Details wie ein ringförmiges EVG in
einem transparenten Gehäuse und die Abpendelung ohne separate Zuleitung die Leuchte als
reine Form ohne störende Elemente.
Die VDE-gerechte Lösung mit den dreigeteilten
Zuleitungen als Abpendelungen ist patentiert.
Sie unterstreicht, wie technische Innovationsfreude die gestalterische Formfindung unterstützen kann. Die Aluminiumbedampfung des
Reflektors und die Entblendung durch die Microprismenstruktur führen zudem zu einem für diese
Bauform hohen Wirkungsgrad.
Trotz ihrer Leichtigkeit ist die Leuchte verwindungssteif und formstabil. Die Verwendung von
hochwertigem Kunststoff macht sie UV-stabil,
langlebig und schlagfest. Die Transparenz des
Kunststoffs erlaubt es zudem der Leuchte, durch
Einlage von Farbfolien, verschiedene Farben zu
geben und so die Architektur mit leisen Tönen zu

Rahmen für die leichte, klassische Form der Iris.

Leuchte eine besondere Augenweide.
What makes Iris so unique is its ability to retain
a shimmering, mysterious elegance in any of its
design variants – whether wall, ceiling or pendant
mounted. The top-quality plastic material evokes
curiosity about what lies beneath, without
detracting from the classic appeal of the ring hape.
This concept is echoed consistently by every detail
of the design, such as a ring-shaped electronic
ballast in a transparent housing, and pendant
fixture without any separately visible leads –
leaving the luminaire to perform the perfect solo,
unadulterated by any disturbing elements. The
VDE-compliant power supply concept provided by
three-way split supply cables is a patented
solution, a tribute to the way technical innovation
can serve the purposes of conceptual design. The
aluminization of the reflector and the ultra-low
brightness effect of the microprism structure also
contrive to create a light output ratio which is
unusually high for this type of design. Despite its
light weight, the luminaire is torsion resistant
and dimensionally stable. The use of top quality
plastic makes for optimum UV stability, durability
and impact resistance. The transparency of the
plastic allows scope for creative use of colour by
simply inserting coloured film to accentuate and
blend subtly into different architectural backdrops.
This same freedom is offered in all of the model
variants. A large circular-shaped reflector for the
recessed variants creates a reflective bowl, which
shows the classic Iris off to its beautiful best.
Ceiling or wall mounting creates the perfect
backdrop for this dynamic luminaire to express
its full visual impact.
