Dear Members and Guests,
We would like to invite you to join us for a historic and culturally interesting tour of Haigerloch,
the romantic town on the cliffs of the Eyach valley south of Stuttgart. Some of the many sights
we will see include:
The world’s first nuclear reactor in a beer cellar deep in the cliff under the Schlosskirche; the
only full-sized replica of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper and the former Synagogue
Haigerloch. Starting up at the Stadtgarten we will see the sights along the way down through
the historic old town to the Atomic Cellar before returning back up the hill via the shorter path.
Be prepared for the elevation change and wear comfortable walking shoes.
We will meet Saturday July 13, 2013 at 15:00
In the Stadtgarten near
Gruoler Strasse 1, 72401 Haigerloch
There are two small parking lots, one on Gruoler Strasse
and one on Hohenbergstr very near to where these streets
meet just off the Oberstadtstrasse.
This is up above the main part of the town, not down in the
Valley (see maps on reverse).
Take A-81 to Singen, Exit 31 Empfingen / Haigerloch,
Follow B463 to Haigerloch. It is an hour’s drive from
