sich eindrucksvoll mit der limitierten Single
„Immortal“ zurück. „Der Titel ist eine Metapher für die Angst vor dem Tod und steht
sowohl für Verlust und Leiden als auch für
Trost und Hoffnung. Es geht um die Frage,
ob der Tod wirklich eine Erlösung ist und die
Unsterblichkeit vielleicht doch nur eine Qual.
Ebenso geht es um die Ungewissheit, was
einen dann tatsächlich erwartet und ob die
Seele wirklich den Körper verlässt. Getreu
dem Motto: Wenn wir es schaffen, den Tod
zu akzeptieren, um uns dadurch dem Leben
zu öffnen, können wir unser Dasein ganz anders genießen“, erklärt Sänger Dennis. Tiefe

Solitary Experiments, Berlin’s first address for thudding but
highly melodic and catchy Electro-tunes, return with the superb new limited single “Immortal.” “The title is a metaphor for
everyone’s fear of death and stands synonymous for loss and
sorrow but also for consolation and hope. The lyrics revolve
around the question whether death is salvation and immortality nothing but agony. They are also about the incertitude of
what will happen after passing away and whether there is a
soul that leaves the body. We can enjoy our life more if we
can accept our certain death as a fact”, singer Dennis explains.
Profound thoughts, wrapped up in a song that is as catchy and
club-compatible as it is intensely emotional and that can easily
match the group’s biggest hits. The single features two different versions of the song as well as two searing remixes that
push the track even more in the direction of dance floor compatibility. “We definitely wanted remixers that would take the
track more in a Trance- and Dance-direction. Sebastian Komor
has proved with his work for Icon Of Coil that he’s the perfect
man for the job and DJ Delobbo has done impressive work for
DE/Vision, Implant and Technoir as well.” The b-side is a song
called “Static” - a picture perfect hit song that sports a similar
sound to “Mind Over Matter”, the group’s last long player. Dennis confirms:”Yes, the track was recorded during the sessions
for that album. We were skimming our archives for a suitable
track and this one fitted hand in glove!”
The single also features the video clip
for “Immortal”, a gritty and enigmatic
experience that reminds of Anton Corbijn’s works in the Eighties. Dennis nods:
“We decidedly wanted the clip to look
Eighties-style. Inspired by the lyrics, it
tells a story of a need for total security
and the resulting loss of personal freedom.” The single is the perfect appetizer for the new album “In The Eye Of
The Beholder”, due for release in September. Dennis grins conspiratively:”I
won’t give you details, yet, but we are
working on a web site that will give you
a detailed outlook on the production
process that will go online, soon.” Until
then, make sure you grab a copy of the
hand-numbered single. It will probably
sell out quite quickly!

dass er dafür der richtige Mann ist und auch DJ Delobbo ist durch seine Arbeiten für DE/Vision, Implant
und Technoir kein unbeschriebenes Blatt“, meint
Dennis. Als B-Seite gibt es den ebenfalls stark Hitverdächtigen Song „Static“ zu hören, der vom Sound
her stark an das letzte Album „Mind Over Matter“
erinnert. Dennis bestätigt: „Der Song stammt aus
dieser Schaffensperiode. Wir haben im Archiv gestöbert, da der Single-Bonus nicht nur irgendein Instrumental werden und als Füller daherkommen sollte.
‚Static‘ passte sowohl musikalisch als auch textlich
perfekt zum Titelstück!“ Die Single enthält außerdem
den aufwändig produzierten Videoclip zu „Immortal“,
der in seiner grobkörnigen Ästhetik und seiner Symbolik stark an die Anton-Corbijn-Clips der Achtziger
und Neunziger erinnert. Dennis nickt enthusiastisch:
„In der Tat spiegelt der Clip die Ästhetik solcher Produktionen wieder und
wurde bewusst im Stil der Achtziger
umgesetzt. Inspiriert vom Songtext
wird eine Geschichte totaler Sicherheit
und der daraus resultierende Verlust
der eigenen Freiheit erzählt.“ Die Single ist ein perfekter Appetithappen auf
das im September erscheinde, neue
Album „In The Eye Of The Beholder“.
