Er kann sowohl als Schallstrahler als auch als Schalldruckempfänger eingesetzt werden. The 40 kHz (416 000) ultrasonic transducer is a piezoelectric atmospheric ultrasonic Transducer for use in experiments involving geometric and wave acoustics. The transducer can be used as acoustic radiator as well as acoustic pressure receiver. 1 1 2 Sicherheitshinweise Safety instructions • Vor Schlag und Stoß schützen • Protect from shock and impact • Keine höheren Spannungen als 30 VSS anlegen • Do not apply voltages in excess of 30 Vpp • Nicht in Flüssigkeiten betreiben • Do not operate in liquids Beschreibung, technische Daten 2 Description, technical data 2.1 Beschreibung (Fig. 1) 2.1 Description (Fig. 1) 2.2 Technische Daten 2.2 Technical data Resonanzfrequenz: Bandbreite: Kapazität: Anschluß: Gehäuse: Stativstab: Resonance frequency:40 kHz Bandwidth: env. 6 kHz Capacitance: 2000 pF Connection: 1 m coaxial cable with 4 mm plugs Casing: 40 mm x 27 mm dia. When using the ultrasonic transducer as an acoustic radiator, connect it to the output of the generator (p.ej. 416 012); when using the ultrasonic transducer as an acoustic pressure receiver, connect it to the oscilloscope. In both cases, the black plug should be earthed. Set the resonance frequency of the ultrasonic transducer in accordance with the experiment set-up in fig. 2. Observe the ultrasonic, receiving signal on the oscilloscope and set it to the maximum amplitude by finely adjusting the frequency at the generator. 3.2 Versuchsbeispiele 3.2 Examples of experiments Fig. 2 Versuchsaufbau zum Abgleich der Resonanzfrequenz Fig. 2 Experiment set-up for tuning the resonance frequency Fig. 3a Aufbaudarstellung zum Echolot Sender Empfänger a b Illustration of the set-up of the depth sounder Transmitter Receiver a b Fig. 3b Schematisches Oszilloskopbild zum Echolot.
